JUST BORN

Having a new baby is an exciting time for new parents, a new chapter in their lives.  No matter if it is your 1st baby or 4th, there are many new joys and new challenges in those first weeks and months.

It is a great time to share with family and friends, however, for a lot of Kununurra families the reality is the people they would normally call on for support are not local.  It's not always easy, especially with a new born, that is why our 'Just Born' program is highly regarded at KNH.

Just Born aims to help new parents create new friendships and support networks in a safe, comfortable environment. We provide a place new parents can come and share their journey with others, get to know about KNH and the other services in Kununurra.

As with all our programs, KNH welcome both mum and dad at Just Born, but don't forget grandparents and other support people are most welcome also... in those first few weeks there are often visiting family/friends, so bring them along too!

Your group facilitator for Just Born is Jillian Walker who is a dedicated member of KNH's staff.  Jillian has a wealth of knowledge to help support and nurture new parents and a listening ear on days that you need extra support.

Note:  Our child health nurse attends most weeks to answer your questions and offer additional support.
Baby scales are available to weigh bub.
