emergency food relief program
The emergency food relief program at Kununurra Neighbourhood House (KNH) is a vital service that provides food parcels to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or crisis due to natural disasters, personal circumstances or other factors.
Food insecurity is a serious issue that affects many vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community, especially during times of crisis. Without access to adequate food, these people may face health risks and emotional distress. Kununurra Neighbourhood House is a local organisation that provides essential support to these people by offering food hampers through its emergency food relief program.
Our emergency food relief program is supported by our dedicated community volunteers who prepare and pack the food hampers using goods donated or purchased with funding from the Government of Western Australia's Lotterywest.

We want to help more people!
We are seeking funding to improve the emergency relief storeroom to double the food hamper storage capacity. This will enable us to meet the increasing demand for food assistance in our community. If you can help please contact our House Coordinators.
